Horizontal FAQ
What are the advantages of a hydronic forced-air furnace?
One of the quietest furnaces you can buy. The NPF is also energy efficient burning gas at 97% efficiency and using high efficiency electric motors. The NPF is also Ultra-low NOx compliant so it is a good steward for the environment minimizing the emissions that can contribute to ozone and acid rain. The EZ-Nav interface allows the system to be configured quickly and precisely meeting the specific comfort needs of any home.
What is a horizontal flow furnace?
A horizontal furnace has its components arranged horizontally so that it discharges its air horizontally to the left with the return air coming into the opposite end. Normally seen in attic or crawl space installations.
How long does a hydro air furnace last?
Same as a traditional residential gas furnace, when properly maintained, 15-20 years
Does hydronic forced-air heating cause humidity?
The hydro-furnace does not add humidity to the conditioned space.
As a homeowner, if I have an issue with my unit can I call technical support for troubleshooting help?
If you have an issue with your Hydro-furnace, please contact the original installation contractor or you can go to the Navien website (www.navieninc.com) to locate your nearest qualified Navien contractor.
Does Navien have field technicians available to service my hydro-furnace?
